The chacma baboon, also known as the Cape baboon, is a large primate found throughout Southern Africa. These baboons have an average length of around 50 cm (20 in) and weight of around 19 kg (42 lb). They have a diverse diet that includes fruit, seeds, insects, and even small mammals. Chacma baboons are known for their strong and flexible skeleton, which allows them to adapt to various environments and behaviors, such as climbing trees and running on the ground.
