The fox squirrel, also known as the eastern fox squirrel or Bryant's fox squirrel, is an herbivorous species found throughout the eastern half of the United States. This squirrel is the largest species of tree squirrel native to North America. A solitary animal, it spends most of the day eating and gathering and storing food.
